Domain policy

All domains are subject to availability.

You may not wilfully register any domain which may be deemed to be offensive or infringes on the rights of any third party.

You must have a genuine intention to use your domain. Registering a domain for the purchase of auctioning or squatting is strictly prohibited.

It is your responsibility to comply with the applicable domain registry’s terms and conditions. See here for the ZA Central Registry or here for ICANN.

We reserve the right to refuse to register or renew any domain.

You will need to provide certain personal and/or company information (including contact information) in order to register or renew your domain. This information will appear on the public WHOIS record for your domain. Anonymous domain registrations are not permitted.

Your domain will be registered for one (1) year and renewed annually unless you notify us in writing at least thirty (30) days prior to the renewal date of your domain that you do not wish to renew your domain.

You agree to pay the applicable registration/renewal fees in full. These fees are non-refundable.

In the unfortunate event that you fail to renew your domain, your domain will be suspended. You may redeem your domain by paying the applicable redemption fee within seven (7) days of your domain being suspended, failing which your domain will be deleted by the registry.

You must notify us of any changes in your contact information.

You must respond to notices about your domain within twenty four (24) hours, failing which we may suspend your domain.

We will not be liable to you for any interruption in service or any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, fees and/or expenses arising from such an interruption in service, any temporary domain outage or from your domain being suspended or deleted.

E-mail domains@delitech.co.za to make changes to (update) your domain. Domain updates may take up to eight (8) hours to be finalised.

A new domain may take up to twenty four (24) hours to fully propagate over the internet.

You assume full liability for your domain and how your domain is being used. You agree to wholly defend, disclaim and hold harmless Delitech I.T. Solutions from any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, fees and/or expenses (including but not limited to legal costs, fees and expenses) arising from or otherwise related to your domain.

Any dispute involving your domain will be resolved in accordance with the guidelines of the the applicable registry. For ZA domains, see http://www.domaindisputes.co.za. For COM/ORG/NET domains, see https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/help/dndr/udrp-en.

E-mail domains@delitech.co.za for help or support with your domain name.

Inbound domain transfers

All inbound transfers are subject to the transfer policy of your existing host/registry.

COM/ORG/NET domains must be unlocked prior to the transfer by your existing host/registry. We will need the authorisation code to proceed with the transfer.

If your ZA domain is within ninety (90) days of its renewal date, your domain must be renewed prior to the transfer.

A parking/hosting fee will be charged from the moment your hosting account is configured on our servers regardless of whether or not the transfer is complete. You agree to pay the applicable parking/hosting fees.

It is your responsibility to check if your existing site will be compatible with our hosting platform. E-mail support@delitech.co.za if you need help.

Unless your existing host provides a full backup (including a list of e-mail accounts and databases), we will need to have access to your existing hosting account (including control panel, FTP and MySQL) in order to create a backup.

Domain transfers involve updating name server records which may take 2-4 days to propagate over the internet. This process may impact the performance of hosting related services such as e-mail. Please be patient while this process runs its course.

We do not guarantee that any transfer will be successful.

Outbound domain transfers

All outbound transfers are subject to a service fee of R300. This fee includes a full backup of your site, a list of e-mail accounts and up to one (1) hour telephone assistance.

If your ZA domain is within ninety (90) days of its renewal date, your domain must be renewed prior to the transfer.

We will unlock your domain and authorise a transfer only upon settlement of your final account (if any).

Your hosting account will be terminated thirty (30) days after successfully transferring your domain. Any files residing on our servers (including but not limited to databases and e-mails) will be deleted at this time.

We are not under any obligation to retain any files for any period of time and will not be liable to you for deleting any files.
